![]() The BoneCraft Development Kit’s initial release will include all of the script code used to create BoneCraft. Legendary voice actor Neil Kaplan, who has voiced such iconic characters as Tychus from StarCraft II and Optimus Prime in the Transformers series, plays Captain Fort Worth. The game follows Captain Fort Worth and his crew of Space Wranglers through encounters with naughty elves and racy robots, battles with Orc hoardes, and much more. The first-person hack-and-slash shooter game allows the player to finally go all the way with some of the sexiest creatures in the galaxy. This project will not only inform the debate over the growth of elite power in early medieval Ireland, but also demonstrate how overlooked aspects of the archaeological record can be utilized in theoretically important ways.D-Dub Software announced today that they are beginning work on a Development Kit for BoneCraft, their sexy, hilarious new Sci-Fi/Fantasy parody game.īoneCraft, which was released January 12, is the second release from the studio that brought you the risquè action-adventure parody BoneTown. This research will be the first examination of the production and distribution of any class of bone artifact from the early medieval period and one of the first studies in Ireland to incorporate craft production as an element in social development. This project will also determine if the production of bone pins is limited to high status sites or whether bone pins were the handiwork of the majority of the medieval population. Boyle will combine the distribution and chronological development of these pins with complementary data from other studies of bronze brooches and pins to create a comprehensive computerized database of dress fasteners in the early medieval period. The data collected in this research will be used to construct the first ever typology of Irish medieval bone pins. Although bone pins have been recognized as unique artifacts of the early medieval period since the 1930s, few researchers have ever examined the collection of pins held in the museums of Ireland. This project will entail the examination of all excavated early medieval bone pins and bone working debris from the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, UK. ![]() This project will examine whether the production of bone pins was likewise controlled by the upper classes of Irish society. One of the ways early medieval elites solidified their power was through the control of the production of status objects such as brooches. Often considered to be inferior copies of metal pins, these personal items have been described as status objects marking the lower classes in Irish society. The focus of this research will be on bone and antler pins, a largely overlooked category of dress fastener. Irish bronze brooches and pins are recognized as some of the most important pieces of Celtic artwork, and during the medieval period these objects would have represented the wealth and social standing of the individual wearer. One of the hallmarks of this increasing level of social complexity is the diversity and decoration of dress fasteners. ![]() ![]() Because of this, Ireland has traditionally been ignored in discussions of social complexity and the emergence of urban states after the European "Dark Ages." Recent research however suggests that political power was increasingly being focused in the hands of secular elites towards the end of this period and that Ireland may have been a significantly complex society, yet one that differed from its European neighbors. Instead the island remained a decentralized, non-urban and mainly pastoral society dominated by numerous competing kingdoms. Irish society, while adopting some aspects of Roman culture, most notably Christianity, did not receive an impetus from this contact to develop into a unified state. ![]() Supported by the National Science Foundation, James Boyle will undertake the examination of bone and antler artifact production from early medieval Ireland, c. ![]() ![]() The next bit of our Wasteland overhaul comes in the form of a weather mod. In order to make the Strip itself seem more realistic and lively, we also installed The Strip Open by users Schizofriendlia and MoBurma - what this mod does is it removes the gates between each area of the NV Strip in the vanilla version of the game, allowing it to be one continuous street instead of three separate areas. This mod adds more than 100 different trees, grasses, shrubs and other types of plant life to the vast expanse of the area surrounding the New Vegas Strip. As in Fallout 3 and Skyrim, a must-have mod is the Wasteland Flora Overhaul by Vurt. ![]() Wasteland 2.0 On top of all these extra texture mods and new character models, it's easy to add some extra detailed flair to the Mojave desert. For our non-human (or formerly human) friends, we also installed Ghouls Hires Retexture and Securitron Hires Retexture (both from Macintroll) and the Improved Robots Texture Pack by Tau34RUS. Another great option for revamping the in-game characters is FNV Redesigned, which gives the NPC character models a softer, more realistic quality. It also includes a "Playable Races" option which can be activated if, instead of a boring "normal" person you want to experience life in New Vegas as a Ghoul or mutated human. ![]() These files reshape and retexture almost every NPC you'll encounter, from Sunny Smiles and Easy Pete to each Poweder Ganger and Fiend. YES NO To enhance our interactions with the various NPCs throughout New Vegas, we installed Drumber's excellent mod, the Fallout Character Overhaul. To upgrade the weapons, armor and miscellaneous clutter found throughout the wasteland, we installed Millenia's Weapon Retexture Project, Improved Heavy Weapons Textures by Tau34RUS, Macintroll's Wasteland Clothing Hires Retexture, and the Neat Clutter Retextures mod by Mental Gear. If you're wary about framerate issues or overloading on too many textures, both mods have lower-resolution versions available. The largest version NMC's pack updates many in-game textures with 2K variants, and Ojo Bueno's mod ups the ante to 4K, and both packs do a great job of revitalizing much of the in-game world. To that end, we installed a combination of NMC's Texture Pack and the OJO BUENO High Quality Texture Workshop. Here are just a few of our favorite mods that will make your copy of New Vegas more vibrant and immersive than ever before.Ī Prettier Apocalypse One of the first steps to overhauling any game, be it New Vegas, Fallout 3 or Skyrim, is to update the textures for as many objects in the environment as possible. When it released back in the fall of 2010, Fallout: New Vegas was a fantastically detailed and incredibly fun RPG, and - spoiler alert! - it still is! And just like with Fallout 3 and Skyrim, the modding community has made the PC version of Fallout 3.5 look better than ever. ![]() ![]() This is because the option “My data has headers” box has a checkmark beside it. ![]() ![]() This is what has been achieved in the last step above. Remote host pretends to be the one to be sending the ARP replies, and Target host is the host that receives the reply.Įttercap -i interface -Tq -M arp:remote /192.168.216.2/ /192.168.216.129/ĪRP cache poisoning involves poisoning the cache of a victim user by flooding it with ARP replies containing MAC addresses to a proxy host. The -i switch is used the specify the network interface, -t is for target host, and -r for remote host. To achieve this, the arpspoof command line utility is used on a Linux box. Since ARP replies contain MAC address replies from a network device, the attacker’s objective is to flood ARP replies to both the target and the remote host. The continuous response from the continuous ping means there is a proper connection between the victim PC and the default gateway. To monitor how the victim’s machine is communicating with the gateway, I’ll run a continuous ping from the victim machine to the gateway device with the Windows ping -t command.ĭuring this test, the following IP addresses are used: The ARP cache on the victim PC as seen above consists of dynamic and static entries. While we can see that the IP address 192.168.1.1 resolves into the d4:ca:6d:fc:43:9f hardware address, the attacker will begin an ARP proxy (spoof) against this address. This works across Mac and Linux the same way, but our victim machine here is Windows. To prevent this, the attacker forwards packets from the gateway to the victim and does the same thing back to the gateway.īringing all that to reality! From a Windows machine, running an arp -aĬommand will list a cache of all neighbour IP addresses with their MAC addresses. Packets meant for the victim wouldn’t get to him, and the victim may get suspicious. A default result will be disrupted communication between the victim and the gateway. This image is the same as the process above but with an attacker in the picture:Īt this point of interception, the attacker receives every piece of data meant for the victim from the gateway and vice versa. The image below illustrates a typical ARP operation: The same process is repeated vice versa with the victim, making the victim see the attacker’s IP address as the gateway address ARP replies. There is usually a DNS cache, and with ARP there is an ARP cache stored on the ARP table.ĪRP spoofing is where an attacker pretends to be another computer on a network by telling the network gateway to request for the victim’s MAC address from his/her machine IP address. ![]() In order to speed up the process and avoid a repetition, a cache is stored. One major similarity they both have is that they need to do the resolving job on new network connections. ![]() Resolving IP addresses to MAC with the ARP is similar to how the DNS helps resolve IP address to domain names. ![]() ![]() ![]() For example, v_empno is the datatype of the emp table empno datatype of Number. Using PL/SQL Keyword DESC to Display Table VariablesĪlthough you can go to the Oracle Enterprise Manager Console to view the columns and datatypes, an alternate way of viewing this information is available in PL SQL.
